Top-seeded Bianca Andreescu of Canada retired from Saturday’s semifinal match against Ukraine’s Lesia Tsurenko at the Thailand Open in Hua Hin.

Tsurenko was leading 7-5, 4-0 when the 2019 U.S. Open champion halted the match after one hour and 35 minutes due to a right shoulder injury.

The 33-year-old Tsurenko, who swept the last eight games of the match, will face Lin Zhu of China in Sunday’s final of the WTA 250 hard-court event. Zhu defeated countrywoman and No. 7 seed Xinyu Wang 6-2, 6-4.

No. 1 seed Caroline Garcia of France stormed into the finals in Lyon, France, with a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Colombia’s Camila Osorio.

Garcia struck seven aces and saved all four break points she faced in her 72-minute semifinal at the WTA 250 hard-court tournament. She converted four of five break chances against Osorio.

Garcia’s opponent in Sunday’s final is unseeded 22-year-old American Alycia Parks, a 6-3, 7-6 (4) winner against Belgium’s Maryna Zanevska. It is the first career singles final for Parks, who registered 13 aces and 35 winners in the one-hour, 53-minute semifinal.
