CALLOFDUTY: Ultra drop first match in CDL Major II qualifying

OpTic Texas defeated the Toronto Ultra 3-1 on Saturday, handing them their first loss in Call of Duty League Major II qualifying.

Other winners Saturday included the Minnesota Rokkr, Los Angeles Thieves and Boston Breach.

Major II, which will include all 12 Call of Duty League teams, is scheduled to be played in Boston from Feb. 2-5. Qualifying for the event continues through Jan. 29.

The Ultra fell to 3-1 as OpTic improved to 3-0. OpTic Texas opened with a 250-214 win on Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint and 6-4 on Embassy Search and Destroy. The Ultra took Al Bagra Fortress Control 3-1 before OpTic clinched on Embassy Hardpoint, 250-191.

The Boston Breach defeated Vegas Legion 3-1. The Breach opened with a 250-218 win on Embassy Hardpoint before Vegas answered on Mercado Las Almas Search and Destroy, 6-1. But the Breach clinched with a 3-1 win on El Asilo Control and 250-232 triumph on Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint.

The Rokkr defeated the Atlanta FaZe 3-0. The Rokkr took Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint, Breenbergh Hotel Search and Destroy and Al Bagra Fortress Control for the sweep.

The Los Angeles Thieves also won in a sweep, dispatching the London Royal Ravens. The Thieves took Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint, Breenbergh Hotel Search and Destroy and Breenbergh Hotel Control for the victory.

Los Angeles Guerrillas vs. Minnesota Rokkr
New York Subliners vs. Atlanta FaZe
