The Atlanta Hawks have opened preliminary trade discussions around veteran forward John Collins, The Athletic reported Friday.

The Phoenix Suns are said to be among the interested parties, with the sticking point being Collins’ price tag.

He is in the second season of a five-year, $125 million contract.

No deals are imminent, per the report. The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 9.

Collins, 25, is averaging 12.6 points and 7.7 rebounds in 15 starts this year. The scoring average is his lowest since his rookie season in 2017-18.

A first-round draft pick by the Hawks in 2017, Collins has career averages of 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in 308 games (257 starts).
