Ron DeSantis’ wife Casey diagnosed with breast cancer

Casey DeSantis is 41, and has three children, Madison, 4 years old, Mason, three years old and Mamie, who is 18 months. Case has worked for the PGA tour was a producer and television host. It has not been reported what stage the cancer diagnosis is in.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Monday that his wife Casey has been diagnosed with breast cancer. ‘I am saddened to report that Florida’s esteemed First Lady and my beloved wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer. As the mother of three young children, Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as First Lady,’ the governor said in a statement. ‘As she faces the most difficult test of her life, she will have not only have my unwavering support but the support of our entire family, as well as the prayers and well wishes from Floridians across our state. Casey is a true fighter, and she will never, never, never give up.’

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany  had a preventative double mastectomy.  She wrote on Twitter: ‘My family and I will be praying for @FLCaseyDeSantis & every woman battling breast cancer! Casey is a strong woman and an amazing mother. My heart is with her and her family!’

Governor DeSantis passed many initiatives as governor in 2020 such as Historic Investments in Florida’s Education System, raising teachers’ pay, secured over $625 million for the protection of water resources, announced $23 million in funding to bolster Florida’s mental health services system derived from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to reinforce mental health support available in Florida and allow the Department of Children and Families to continue providing mental health and substance abuse treatment for Floridians in need to name a few.
