Cameron Shelton scored a game-high 27 points, including a go-ahead bank shot with 14 seconds remaining, as Loyola Marymount snapped No. 6 Gonzaga’s 75-game home winning streak with a 68-67 decision Thursday night in Spokane, Wash.

The Lions’ Keli Leaupepe blocked Drew Timme’s driving layup in the final seconds and Julian Strawther’s off-balance 3-point attempt at the final buzzer came up short.

Jalin Anderson added 15 points and Leaupepe scored 11 for the Lions (14-7 overall, 4-3 West Coast Conference), who snapped a 25-game losing streak to the Bulldogs dating to Feb. 18, 2010.

Timme led Gonzaga (16-4, 5-1) with 17 points, scoring 15 in the second half. Nolan Hickman added 12 points and Rasir Bolton scored 10.

No. 3 Purdue 61, Minnesota 39

Braden Smith scored 19 points and had seven rebounds and seven assists to lead the Boilermakers to a comfortable win over the host Golden Gophers.

The No. 3 Boilermakers (18-1, 7-1 Big Ten) remained atop their conference and won their fifth in a row while the last-place Golden Gophers (7-10, 1-6) lost for the fourth time in their past five games. Purdue never trailed, shot 51.7 percent in the first half and held the Gophers to only 5-of-24 shooting during that time to take a 31-12 halftime lead. The Boilermakers’ lead ballooned to as many as 29 in the second half.

For a change, the Boilermakers didn’t need to rely heavily on All-American candidate Zach Edey, who finished with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Joshua Ola-Joseph was one of the bright spots for the Gophers with a team-high 13 points on 6-for-11 shooting.

No. 5 UCLA 74, Arizona State 62

Tyger Campbell scored 22 points, David Singleton added 21 points and the Bruins outscored the Sun Devils 24-7 over the final 10 minutes en route to a win in Tempe, Ariz.

The Bruins (17-2, 8-0 Pac-12) trailed by just five points at halftime thanks to Desmond Cambridge Jr.’s heave from near midcourt at the buzzer. UCLA scored eight quick points out of intermission to take the lead, but the Sun Devils surged back ahead to hold a five-point edge midway through the second half.

UCLA took over the showdown for first place in the Pac-12 from there. Arizona State (15-4, 6-2) mustered just two points in the game’s final six minutes and went scoreless over the closing 3 1/2 minutes. Cambridge led Arizona State with 15 points. DJ Horne added 14 points, and Austin Nunez chipped in 10 points in 13 minutes off the bench.

No. 11 Arizona 81, Southern California 66

A lineup change seemed to spark the Wildcats, who got a double-double from Azuolas Tubelis as they rolled past the Trojans in Tucson, Ariz.

Coach Tommy Lloyd took wing Pelle Larsson out of the starting lineup for the first time all season in favor of Cedric Henderson Jr., who hit back-to-back 3-pointers after USC (13-6, 5-3 Pac-12) scored the first six points of the second half to pull within 41-32. Tubelis scored 15 points and grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds.

Drew Peterson scored 15 points to lead the Trojans, who shot just 36.9 percent. Boogie Ellis scored 11 for USC while going 2 of 11 from the field.

No. 18 College of Charleston 69, Monmouth 55

Reyne Smith hit seven 3-point shots on his way to a 27-point night and the No. 18 Cougars had a surprising struggle before dispatching the host Hawks in West Long Branch, N.J.

Charleston didn’t lead until Smith made a 3-point basket with less than 14 minutes remaining in the game. The Cougars (20-1, 8-0 Colonial Athletic Association) became the country’s first 20-game winner and stretched their winning streak to 19 games, the longest in Division I, despite trailing in the second half for the fourth time in their last five games.

Andrew Ball’s 16 points and Myles Foster’s 15 were tops for Monmouth (1-18, 0-6).

Michigan State 70, No. 23 Rutgers 57

A.J. Hoggard had 16 points and seven assists to lead the Spartans to a win over the Scarlet Knights in East Lansing, Mich.

Joey Hauser had 13 points and six rebounds, Tyson Walker scored 12 points and freshman Jaxon Kohler had career-high totals of 12 points and 11 rebounds for Michigan State (13-6, 5-3 Big Ten), which had lost two straight.

Clifford Omoruyi had 12 points and 12 rebounds, Paul Mulcahy scored 12 points and Caleb McConnell scored 11 points for Rutgers (13-6, 5-3). The Scarlet Knights were playing as a nationally ranked team for the first time in two years.

No. 24 Florida Atlantic 83, UTSA 64

Johnell Davis came off the bench to score 14 points and spearhead a balanced scoring effort and help the Owls post a road win over the Roadrunners in Conference USA play in San Antonio.

The Owls (18-1, 8-0 Conference USA) extended their winning streak to 17 after playing their second game ever as a ranked team. Florida Atlantic remains in first place in the conference. The Owls won their second game in their current three-game road trip by building off a strong first half.

UTSA (7-13, 1-8) stays in last in the conference after losing its fifth in a row and eighth in its past nine games.
