Gustavo Bou scored on a free kick in the 69th minute to break a 1-1 tie and Dorde Petrovic made five saves to lead the New England Revolution to a 2-1 victory over Minnesota United on Sunday afternoon in Foxborough, Mass.

Dylan Borrero also scored a goal and Carles Gil had an assist for New England, which extended its MLS unbeaten streak to eight games and home unbeaten streak to six games.

The contest was billed as the final home game for goaltender Matt Turner, who leaves next week on a transfer to Arsenal of the Premier League. The 2021 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year was honored after the game and was on the bench as a reserve.

Emanuel Reynoso scored on a penalty kick for Minnesota United.

Minnesota dominated the first half, outshooting the Revolution 10-1, including 5-0 in shots on goal, but Petrovic came up with a trio of big saves to keep it scoreless over the first 37 minutes.

The first save came on left-footed shot by Reynoso from outside the box in the 18th minute that a diving Petrovic deflected past the far right post. Four minutes later, Robin Lod blasted a left-footed laser from the top of the box headed for the top right corner that Petrovic caught. Luis Amarilla then had a point-blank right-footed shot from the middle of the box in the 29th minute that Petrovic turned away.

The Loons finally took a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute on Reynoso’s third goal of the season on a penalty kick after he was tripped in the box by defender Andrew Farrell. Reynoso softly fired a left-footed shot into the left corner as Petrovic guessed wrong and dove toward the right post.

New England tied it in the 53rd minute on Borrero’s first career MLS goal when his right-footed shot from outside the top of the box deflected off a Loons defender and snuck under a diving Dayne St. Clair.

The Revolution then scored the game-winner in the 69th minute on a brilliant free kick by Bou, who curled his shot from above the left side of the box over the wall and into the top left corner, just past the outstretched hand of St. Clair.
