Jury Hears Evidence In Transgender Woman Barbie Kardashian’s Trial For Threatening to Kill Mother
A young woman named Barbie Kardashian has been charged with threatening to kill or seriously injure her mother and a staff member at a Limerick special care unit.
With no fixed abode, she is known to be a native of Co Meath, she has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of threatening to kill her mother Maria Luque, according to Limerick Circuit Court. Kardashian has also pleaded not guilty to four counts of threatening to kill or damage Michael Mannix, a healthcare assistant who works for a specialist social care service.
The threats are said to have occurred between March 3, 2020, and September 16, 2020, at Coovagh House, a care facility managed by the Health Service Executive (HSE).
The accused was born in Ireland to Venezuelan parents who divorced “when she was pretty young,” according to John O’Sullivan, Senior Counsel for the prosecution. She was born Gabriel Alejandro Gentile, but she has recently identified as a female and appears to have gone through a legal process to change her gender from male to female.
It appears that she has also changed her name to Barbie Kardashian and was awarded a gender recognition certificate by the Department of Social Protection on August 18, 2020, and that she did, in fact, alter her name by deed poll.
A jury of six women and six men commenced hearing evidence today, the opening day of the trial.
Kardashian “clearly expressed” during a conversation with Homas Morgan, who was Kardashian’s case manager and the deputy social care manager at Coovagh House at the time, that she wanted to track her mother down and kill her, to murder, and rape her” during a conversation with him on March 12th, 2020.
Kardashian was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder at the age of ten, and she has been in foster care since her parents divorced.
Michael Mannix, a care worker, testified that Kardashian took a disliking to him right away and threatened to murder him “several times” while he was on the job. He claimed that in July 2020, while walking around the grounds of Coovagh with Kardashian, she told him that she stab him in the neck and witness him “bleed-out.” Kardashian threatened Mannix that she would leave his children “without a father,” according to Enda Long, who worked as a care team leader at Coovagh from 2015 to 21.
Brent Dugdale, another of Kardashian’s former caregivers, also testified about the alleged injured parties’ threats.
The trail will continue tomorrow, Thursday, 5 May.
