Elon Musk Reacts to AOC’s ‘billionaire with an ego problem’ Tweet

After she slammed the phrase “billionaire with an ego problem ” without mentioning any names, Elon Musk warned Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to quit flirting with him.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, had tweeted that she was tired of having to collectively stress about the what kinds of hate crimes were happening because a billionaire with an ego problem commanded and skewed a massive communication platform because Peter Thiel or Tucker Carlson took him to dine.

Although the Democratic New York Representative did not mention Musk by name in her blistering tweet, it was clear that she was referring to the Tesla CEO when she mentioned “billionaire with an ego problem” and the large communication platform. Elon Musk has made headlines for agreeing to buy Twitter for $44 billion.

He teased the US lawmaker in response to the tweet, requesting her to stop hitting him, and that he was shy. AOC then responded to Musk’s jab by claiming she was referring to Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook and Instagram.

Earlier in the day, after posting a graphic depicting what he perceived as the Democratic Party’s leftward drift since 2008, Ocasio-Cortez took issue with Musk’s claim that the “far left” had taken over the party in recent years.

Many leftists have expressed indignation about Musk’s purchase of Twitter, which was confirmed on Monday, while conservatives have welcomed it.

The entrepreneur has stated that he opposes censorship and the present bans that Twitter imposes on users who post ‘harmful content’ or disinformation. Musk claims he prefers ‘time outs’ to outright bans for rule-breakers.

He also chastised Vijaya Gadde, Twitter’s $17 million-a-year lawyer, for blocking the New York Post’s exclusive about Hunter in October 2020. Many of Twitter’s current employees, who tend to be liberal, have reacted angrily to his actions. They have promised to leave the platform when Musk takes charge in about six months, despite the fact that the mogul is expected to slash personnel to enhance profitability anyhow.
He is rumored to be considering removing current CEO Parag Agrawal, who is expected to earn over $30 million in 2022, and appointing his own board.

Musk also shared a meme earlier this week implying that his personal politics have shifted from center-left to conservative as a result of many liberals’ increasingly radical woke positions.

There are growing fears that Musk’s anti-free expression position may turn Twitter into a hotbed of hate speech. Self-described free speech absolutist Musk has promised to make Twitter into a haven for free speech, but many are concerned that his attitude on content regulation will jeopardize the site.
