Celebrity Shaquille O’Neal Responds to Celebrity Ye’s Comments on Business Dealings and Support for Kyrie Irving’s Alleged Anti-Semitic Content
Celebrity Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal, the former professional basketball player also known commonly as Shaq, has some “advice” for rapper Kanye West following the latter’s criticism on Twitter over reported interactions with businessman Jamie Salter, Shaq.
Rapper Ye, or Kanye West, and the basketball player got into a Twitter argument when the former brought up the latter’s business association with Jamie Salter. Shaq is doing business with Canadian billionaire Jamie Salter, the CEO of Authentic Brands Group, wrote West on Twitter on Thursday.
This happened after the former NBA star went after the Brooklyn Nets player Kyrie Irving for his refusal to acknowledge the anti-Semitic nature of the content portrayed in the movie promoted by him. His statements, which were reportedly unapologetic have caused a stir among NBA circles. O’Neal reportedly called him an idiot. Just days after O’Neal’s remarks, the Nets suspended Irving for five games. However, on Thursday night, West or Ye, posted a screenshot of Fox News’ coverage of O’Neal’s remarks in a tweet that stated, “They make us bully ourselves because of our business alignments.”
According to Kanye, the Jews are attempting to benefit by inciting violence among black people and he reportedly fully supported the movie and book that Kyrie Irving was pushing, too. It deals with the myth that black people are also Jews and is titled “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America!”
The rapper first tried to get under Shaq’s skin by revealing his financial dealings with a Jewish billionaire. Kanye was reportedly aiming to shed some light on the apparent influence that Jews have over black people. He particularly discussed Shaq’s company and even posted images of the athlete.
Shaq reacted to the specific tweet from Kanye West in which he claimed that businessman Jamie Salter had duped both David Beckham and him into having business relations with him. He claimed that he was fully aware of the kind of business Shaq is doing. Shaq clapped back saying that the rapper should worry about his own business. He even quoted the rapper’s lyrics ‘I got more money than you, so why would I listen to you.’ The basketball star also advised the rapper to get his family business in shape by following his recommendations.
The celebrity rapper’s time on the Forbes Billionaires List came to an end after making antisemitic comments that led organizations he was associated with, like Adidas and Balenciaga, to sever their ties with him. In response to the Nets guard’s alleged promotion of antisemitism through film and book, Nike withdrew sponsorship of Irving. Nike issued a statement saying: “At Nike, we believe there is no place for hate speech and we condemn any form of anti-Semitism.”
